i linger and move in-between the intersecting spheres of language, theatre, education, play, and durational performance art.

as a theatre pedagogue i draw elements from theatre in education and i focus on play, experiential and inquiry-based learning. in a long-standing collaboration with Theatro RETRO theatre company, we design and realise educational programmes for children (age 3-12).

practicing divergent temporalities: duration, slowness, listening is my current research with artistic practice, which i developed during my studies at Master Performance Practices, ArtEZ University of the Arts (Arnhem, NL). the research investigates temporality as a culturally specific perception of time. as a performer, i question normative uses of time in daily life and in public space and seek to bring forth qualities of time that diverge from western temporal norms. my artistic practice is an assemblage of hyperslow walking, poietic speaking and writing, avoiding clocks, and listening.

with international artists who are curious about public space, we have formed the Playground Collective. we design and perform prompts (succinct invitations for action) in public locations of the cities we live in, in an attempt to shift how public space is viewed, used, and engaged with.
